Pro 12-inch seems more refined. It ditches the Surface Connect charging port, runs silently without fans, and rethinks its keyboard design for better usability.
Performance and Hardware Specs
Under the hood, Microsoft uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus an 8-core chip that balances performance and efficiency. Paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the Surface Pro 12-inch promises up to 12 hours of battery life for active web usage. A 512GB model will also be available for $899.
The Snapdragon X Plus is part of Qualcomm’s latest push to make ARM-based Windows laptops more accessible and cost-effective, without sacrificing too much performance.
Display and Build Quality
The Surface Pro 12-inch features a 12-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2196 x 1464, offering a pixel density of 220 PPI. While it doesn’t use OLED like some high-end models, it still provides crisp visuals and solid brightness for everyday use.
